Macadamia Nut Brown Sugar Cake
This cake was a huge hit at our last neighborhood barbecue, and is definitely big enough to serve a gang of hungry guests! The cake is made with brown sugar, roasted and ground macadamia nuts, and lemon zest for a citrusy sweet flavor with a little crunch. The whipped cream layer is filled with freshly whipped cream, mascarpone, and nutella to give it a light chocolate flavor. It's all assembled with some fresh berries on top (we used blackberries, but will give you whatever looks best from the market!) and ready to cut into rustic slices before serving!
